Abstract

Facts and Figures 2000-2001 Hong Kong university of Science and Technology (HKUST) is a young and dynamic research university which collaborates closely with industry and business. Endowed with an international faculty and state-of-the-art facilities, HKUST focuses on Science, engineering, technology, management, and business. HKUST has more than 440 faculty members, all holding doctoral degrees. Many have taught in the world's leading research universities, or occupied senior research posts in major industrial laboratories. They possess extensive research credentials and rich experience in directing postgraduate and postdoctoral studies. The University enrolls a total of 7,000 students, more than 20% of them in postgraduate studies. English is the standard medium of instruction.
